Man Cave Buyers Guide is written and run by one person: Des Smalls. No content farm, no rotating freelancers, no brand “editorial team” that is actually a marketing department.
Why this site exists
Search for advice on a kegerator, a projector, or a recliner that can survive game day, and you mostly find hype: spec sheets rewritten as reviews, top-ten lists assembled by people who never touched the products, and prices that were wrong before the page finished loading. Building a good room deserves straighter answers. This site exists to give them.
Who runs it
Des Smalls is the founder and does the buying, the setup, the testing, and the writing. Every product recommended here is bought at retail, set up in a real basement, and used the way you would actually use it before it earns a spot in a guide. The full rules are on the testing methodology page.
Where the site is headed
The site is young and the catalog is growing zone by zone: bar, screen, seating, games, and decor. We would rather publish fewer guides that hold up than flood the site to look bigger than we are. If a category is not covered yet, it is coming.
